Introduction

What I Offer
As a therapist, I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and concerns. In our sessions, we will work together to identify and understand the challenges you are facing. I will listen attentively, ask thought-provoking questions, and offer guidance and support as we navigate through your unique experiences.
Together, we will explore your strengths and resources, and develop effective strategies to help you overcome obstacles and achieve your goals.
I have experience working with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, life transitions, and self-esteem issues.
I utilise an integrative approach, using a variety of approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, and solution-focused therapy. This allows me to tailor our sessions to your specific needs and goals.
If you feel that I may be the right therapist for you, I encourage you to reach out and schedule an initial session.

About Me
As we all know, unfortunately, life has difficulties. The first counselling session I attended I remember vividly thinking how much I would love to do that job, but also knowing it would take years of studying to be a therapist and that it would not be easy.
After undertaking a teaching degree, coaching, mentoring and a life coaching diploma and various mental health courses my heart still went back to that counsellor and how much I wanted to help people alongside teaching floristry.
So here I am.
I once needed someone to listen to me and now I am here to listen to you and walk alongside you on your journey. I love the work that I do with clients, and looking forward to getting to know you!

FAQ
Is therapy confidential?
I take confidentiality extremely seriously. All sessions are confidential, and all calls, emails and enquiries are treated in the strictest confidence.
Confidentiality is one of the most important components between a client and therapist and our relationship is based on this. Successful therapy requires a high degree of trust with highly sensitive subject matters that are usually not discussed anywhere but in the therapy room.
What is a therapy contract?
I'm new to therapy, what is it like?
Because each person has different issues and goals for therapy, therapy will be different depending on the individual. In general, you can expect to discuss the current events happening in your life, your personal history relevant to your issue, and report progress (or any new insights gained) from the previous therapy session. Depending on your specific needs, therapy can be short-term, for a specific issue, or longer-term, to deal with more difficult patterns or your desire for more personal development.
Either way, it is most common to schedule regular sessions with your therapist usually weekly. It is important to understand that you will get more results from therapy if you actively participate in the process. The ultimate purpose of therapy is to help you bring what you learn in session back into your life. Therefore, beyond the work you do in therapy sessions, I may suggest some things you can do outside of therapy to support your process – such as journaling on specific topics, noting particular behaviors or taking action on your goals. Ultimately the more you give to the process the more you gain!
